Good skin rarely comes from more products. It comes from a few well-chosen ones, used consistently, in the right order. The framework below works for almost everyone — adjust the actives to your concern, and give each change six to eight weeks before you judge it.

1. Cleanse

Start and end the day with a gentle cleanser that removes makeup, sunscreen and daily build-up without leaving skin tight. A soft foam respects the barrier and sets a clean base for everything that follows.

2. Treat

This is where active ingredients go to work — vitamin C in the morning for brightness and antioxidant defence, hyaluronic acid for hydration, or a targeted gel for blemishes. Apply the thinnest, most water-like product first.

Order rule

Lightest to heaviest. Watery serums before creams; oils and SPF last.

3. Moisturise

A moisturiser seals in everything beneath it and reinforces the skin barrier. Even oily and blemish-prone skin needs one — skipping it often makes oiliness worse.

4. Protect

Sunscreen every morning is the single most effective anti-ageing and brightening step there is. Without it, the rest of your routine works against the clock.

Consistency beats intensity. A simple routine done daily outperforms a complex one done occasionally.
